Steps to Create a 2D Walk Cycle Animation (Front View)
Preparation:
- Gather reference materials of walk cycles.
- Set up your animation software and create a new project.
Step 2: Draw the first Key Pose. Contact Pose: Draw the character with one foot forward and the other back, both touching the ground.
Step 3: Draw the second Key Pose. Animate the arms swinging opposite to the legs.Step 4: Draw the last Key Pose.
Step 5: Draw the first in-between. The pass pose
Step 6: Draw the second in-between. The high pointStep 7: Draw the third in-between.
Step 8: Draw the fourth in-between.
Step 9: Draw the fifth in-between.
Step 10: Draw the last in-between.
Add a new layer and name it as clean-up.
Using the paint brush tool (Y), Clean up each frame.
